Electronic City (Phase 1 and Phase 2) houses over 200 tech campuses, including Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Tech Mahindra. While the elevated expressway connects Electronic City to Central Bangalore, daily commuting between client offices, industrial zones in Jigani/Bommasandra, and weekend getaways across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka requires independent wheels.
1. Why Self-Drive Beats Daily Cabs for Electronic City Techies
- No Surge Surprises: An office cab from Electronic City to Indiranagar during evening rain easily hits ₹1,200 one-way. A flat full-day self-drive hatchback rental from Next Miles starts at just ₹2,300/day with 350 kms included.
- Seamless Outstation Flexibility: Electronic City sits directly on the border of Hosur and the Tamil Nadu highway (NH 44). You can drive down to Krishnagiri, Yercaud, or Pondicherry on Friday evening straight from your campus parking lot.
